First day of U.S. government Shutdown

So the House and Senate called each other's bluff and what we have is a shutdown of the federal government. No real impact will be felt immediately and all bets are that the stand off will be resolved soon as Republicans may not want a repeat of the reaction they got from the public during Clinton's time.
